All things bright...

and beautiful! This is all I had in my head whilst I was embarking on W4 Run 1 - was this my brains way of telling me I needed divine intervention just to be able to breathe?!!!

Well, I did it - yet again! It was a little harder than week 3 and I was trying not to think of the 5 minutes too much! Actually the above hymn actually helped with the timing of my running - ahem light jog! The only downside was that tune plagued me all day!

I boasted to my work colleagues that I was actually now running more than I walked - however, this led to one of them inviting me to join them in a months time when I get better for a run around the park near work!

I politely declined (for now!) saying I was not up for my work colleagues (and rather athletic ones!) to see me in full flight as yet...

Well.. watch this space!!!!

Tee Hee.. I am slowly going mad I think!

It's a big jump up to 5 minutes, but there you go, you made it. You'll probably find you're less anxious next time, and that you breathe better? You can always hope. Might as well. Well done.

Hi gary_bart!

It wasn't too bad in the end! I am definitely not peeking at Week 5 yet or I'll be put off.

Yes, Week 5 is downright spooky. Best leave that bridge till you have to cross it. :-) (But Laura's going to say, "You Can DO IT!", and you'll just have to trust her when that time comes).

You're doing great so far!

In a month you'll be dragging them all to the park hahah

This kind of madness is good. I've just done W8R1 (28 mins) - would never have believed it was possible in my wildest dreams. Also lost 4 1/2 lbs in a week, so double bubble. Earworms are another thing - I'm learning "One Day More" from Les Mis with my choir and have the same bit on a constant loop when I run, to the point of insanity. Means the words are ingrained though! Well done on all you've achieved so far and keep going - if I can do it, everyone/anyone can.

Love it. Fellow chorister. We did Les Mis a couple of years ago and all went en masse to London for the show. Thought the film was better (sorry!).

Good idea to listen to the downloads whilst running. It is a guaranteed half hour of 'me' time.

I listen in the car - cars stopped beside me at the traffic lights get to see the awful faces I pull when reaching for top notes. Very Peter Kay!

Hi jigglypuff_62

W8R1 wow! Amazing! You haven't far to go... it'll be great to feel that achievement in the end!

I was all ready to do w4r2 (in the rain as well) when Laura refused to talk to me! Could get the **** thing to open so just walked and ran and walked and ran as far as I could. So disappointed. But will try again on Saturday.

Hi pampaddy!

We have to just move on and try again when these things happen! That happened to me on my very first run and I nearly gave up there and then!

Well done for carrying on!!

You'll be back!
