Going back to start at Week 5. I'm going to get to end of week 9 come hell or high water (whatever that means ) if I can stay injury free. Fingers crossed
Decision Made: Going back to start at Week 5. I... - Couch to 5K
Decision Made
Good Luck. When I followed this course I got hung up about finishing it in a set number of weeks then I came to my senses and realised just how far I had come in the past few weeks . I now think its about running for enjoyment. If and when I break the 5k barrier, I'll be happy but at the moment , I'm just enjoying the journey to be honest.
Thanks Rich that is so true. I'm doing much more now than I did in the first place. I was pressuring myself to finish.
Have a good weekend
I am just thinking should I press on to week 5 or repeat week 4? It seems a big jump in run times, not sure my old legs can do it, want to try though. Bey are u thinking of repeating week 5, have you been injured?? 😕
Hi Joolie.
I got up to the end of week 7 and then strained a calf muscle.... now trying to get back after about three weeks out.
In week 5 the first time around I found it a real mental block to do the full twenty minutes.... it took me a few goes but I did it

That sounds sensible keefy. I have still not really decided what week I am on following my calf tear! Last time out I ran comfortably for 15mins but have had an extra rest day as my leg felt like it needed it! May drop back more if I feel it needs it. It's so great to be out running again but after such a break (and troublesome injury) my priority is to stay injury free and not get hung up on when I'll finish the programme. Totally agree with the comments made by rich_wolves - its no fun if you don't enjoy the journey!
Good luck.
Thanks Sandra...... starting properly on Monday Week 5 here we come. I'll keep you posted
