Started week 1 of C5K. Got back after half an hour, collapsed on the sofa and had to send out a search party to recover my lungs. I am going to need the rest of today to recover. This is supposed to be good for me right? :)

The very hardest part of this is the first step, so you've already go that behind you. Well done.

If we had a way of tagging quotable quotes, I would tag, "Had to send out a search party to recover my lungs" :D

It's meant more to be enjoyable than to be good for you, actually; but I suspect you already are enjoying it in a sick, twisted kind of way. Keep on enjoying it like that (or in a traditional, semi-normal kind of way), and you'll get grumpy if you miss a run.

Hi Gary

You are right. I did enjoy it and was suprised at how good I felt once I had recoverd. I am looking forward to my next attempt.

I know exactly how you are feeling right now, but keep going and you'll be amazed by how much you improve! I'm on week 6 and today I ran for two lots of 10 minutes- and I was just like you in the first week!

Thanks for the encouragement - week 6 seems such long way off, but I am determined.

Ha ha! Yes I remember that feeling but it does get easier. Honest. Keep at it, run very slowly and take your time going through the programme and well done for starting in the first place!

Slowly isn't a problem, if there was prize for slow i'm a contender. Thanks for the advice and support.

Your lungs aren't anywhere near my marbles are they? I haven't seen those in ages.

Well done for starting - wk 1 really is the hardest challenge to get over. Once you start it becomes a little obsessive. I too am on wk 6 and I too remember exactly where you are and reading a similar post, thinking wk 6??? Really??? Can you actually remember what it was like back here where I am?

Yes, we do and it gets better as you go - promise.

Congrats and keep posting. Very funny.

Didn't spot any marbles but I will keep an eye out, I'll need the other to see where I am going. Thanks for the support, greatly appreciated.

No problem.

I rolled my eyes at a girl once.

Fortunately, she stooped down, picked them up and rolled them back.

Hi I am on week 3 and I totally know I would like a T shirt saying 'send the search party out for my lungs!'- love it!

Well done you- you have started and completed the first run :) it may hurt like hell but it feels great too doesn't it :)

Once I had recovered I did feel better for doing it and I looking forward to the next session. A T shirt isn't a bad idea.

Thanks for the support
