Help! How do I exit this group?

I joined the Couch to 5K community by accident. I have contacted the site administrator to unsubscribe but they never reply, and no instructions are posted. Can anyone help me? My interested is in the Parkinson's community. Thank you kindly for any advice you can provide.

If you go to 'my profile' and deselect Couch to 5k that should do it. Hope you find the Parkinsons people.

At the top of this page, there is a link to "My Communities" - click on that and then click on "Browse Communities" and it will bring up a list of communities -- deselect C25K and select "Parkinsons."

As an alternative, click on the 'My Communities' drop down menu at the top of the page and 'follow' whichever groups you're interested in and 'unfollow' c25k. Another alternative would be to start running and thereby enjoy the benefits of being part of this amazing group. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Sorry, but they're all lying to you, I'm afraid. Now you're here, you're not allowed <to leave -- I found the Edit button!!> until you've done Week 9 Run 3.

First of all, download the podcast for Week 1. This will help you to run and walk, alternately, for 1 minute, and 90 seconds (I think). You can surely manage that, right? Course you can.

Next, download the podcast for Week 2. Now your runs are 90 seconds. Sounds a bit tougher, right? Never mind. Having done Week 1, you give that a go, and if it doesn't work out, just do Week 1 again. Some exercise is better than nothing.

Now obviously it's impossible for anyone to completely finish the course. All of us here have known that for some time. However, there's no harm in just trying the early phases, and sometimes experimenting with just how much of the next week in the programme you can manage.

Now here's the weird thing: 1. If you keep doing that (always staying with your own comfort level -- with the one exception of Week 5, Run 3, which is special) you will eventually be able to run for 30 minutes non-stop. I promise you that.

2. So who Wants to do that? This is the weird thing; that was just a preamble: You will find that you Enjoy running. Yes, I know that's impossible. This is all just a terrible pennance crazy people make, but ... you wait and see for yourself.

If I were you, I would take it as a sign from wherever, and go and try those one minute runs. See how you like it.

I hope you have been able to leave, even though we are a really friendly bunch I understand it's not for everyone. I'm not sure who you contacted but it wasn't me, I'm sorry you have had some distress not getting any help. Hope most of the advice above works for you.
