Sore hip!

After running regularly for over a year since competing c25k, I have not been able to run for the last 4 weeks due to hip pain. Went out today, but still no good :(.

Anyone else experienced similar? I hate not being able to run....

Yes me!!! I got hip pain and carried on running - ended up being out for 5 weeks so watch out! I prescribe rest for a week, start to do hip stretching exercises after the rest - see YouTube! Depends what the problem is, I think mine was hip flexor. I'm absolutely fine now but i didn't help myself by keep on running with pain. Maybe you've done a bit too much too soon? Trying to run faster and over stretching your reach? Keep your cadence short, see if that helps? Also ref Poppypug as she had hip nightmares :) good luck!!!
