W9R1 - Tired legs

We pushed ourselves to go out tonight knowing that we've got a busy couple of days (schools here break up tomorrow). Inspired by Reidy who posted her W9R1 report earlier on this evening. On running we found our legs were still tired from Sunday's efforts, but we kept going for the full 30 minutes. Still smiling and can't believe how close we are to graduating...the 9 weeks have flown by!

Awww ladies, well done, hats off to you! I'd have been tempted to have an extra day off, but you did it! Two to go...can you see the graduation finish line yet?!

We thought it might be a tough one, but wanted to try and keep the momentum going...graduation is in sight - unbelievable!

I don't read this forum as regularly as I used to but I've enjoyed reading your posts. I think it's great that you and your daughter are running together. My daughter is 21 and since I started this plan at the beginning of the year we have run together when we can. We did RFL on Sunday too and had a great time! We both said we wish we had discovered running earlier when she was still living at home. I think it would have had such a positive effect on her confidence but at the time neither of us thought of ourselves as runners - we were typical exercise avoiders! Well done to to both of you and good luck with your next 2 runs. Here's to years of running together ahead of you.

Thank you! I started posting initially as a record for myself to keep track of our ups and downs in progress. I've been amazed in the positivity of people's replies and advice. The boost to my daughters self confidence and promoting an 'I can do this' attitude is priceless. Life can be tough for girls growing up especially when they don't exactly fit what is promoted in the media as the 'norm'. Sending best wishes to you and your daughter - hope you keep enjoying your runs together!

That's so great. I run with my daughter too, we're both trying to get fit together. I can't wait until we hit week 9 and graduate so that we can say we've done it too.

Well done, keep posting so we can keep up to date with your progress. I've found the warm up/cool down walks great times for talking to each other. Good luck with your future runs together!
