I walked there (five minute warm-up) and then ran around it, ran home, and was then forced to run around the block twice until the 28 minutes were up!
Must start running the 'long way around' from now on.
It was hard to get out of the door today though. Had my son's birthday party yesterday (with his friends) then had the grandparents coming around today. So I ran when I had time after lunch and before the party, in the heat and I was desperate for the loo by the end (no more coffee within an hour of the run from now on - I was practically hopping by the time I got home!).
Onwards and upwards. Run two, maybe Tuesday.

Fantastic to hear that you're running out of meadow. That's a mark of real progress - when you have to add on to your regular route to finish your run. It's fun to remember back to W1R1 and remember the points where you struggled - how different it is from week 8. Well done - graduation is in sight.
I love that 'running out of runway" feeling - awesome! I'm sure that you can impose an hour of "me time" in your day - we parents give enough time to our kids as it is, keep a bit for yourself!
Well done. It's great finding new routes and I love looking at the map afterwards thinking did I really run all that!?? In the heat too! Well done! Graduation is round the corner!!!!! Xx
It's always great to discover that parks and distances are too small for you now!
Pretty soon, you'll find yourself thinking things like "only 2 miles to go" and then thinking "did I really just think that!?". It can be hard to fit in a run amongst all the other calls on your time. Glad you managed it - and had a good run in spite of the close call!
