I'M DONE!

Well kind of, I have now completed W9R3! According to the RunKeeper app I downloaded I did 3.07k in 30 minutes, so still got a bit to go on that front, but I'll take my successes where I can!

I'm a bit dubious about the app though, when I did W9R2, it told me I did 2.33km in 30 minutes, which is slower than I can walk, and I know I can run faster than I can walk (because I know I can go much further running for 15 minutes and back than I can for walking 15 minutes and back). Google maps reckons I did 3.4 km in 30 minutes today, so I'm now slightly confused about how far I'm actually going! Clearly I need to get myself along a park run or something where they've got it measured better than I can!

In the grand scheme of things though, I'm happy that I can now run for 30 minutes :)

Well done! Many many people do not make it to 5k in the 30 minutes, in fact there are quite a few people (including me) who run 5ks all the time and still can't do it in 30 mins. I do 3 x 5ks a week, and my PB is 34:15. Just because you haven't done the magical distance yet doesn't mean you can't graduate from the programme. You can run for 30 minutes - that's the goal.

Thanks! I was thinking earlier that titling this "I'm Done" isn't quite right either, as I'm nowhere near finished with running!

Congratulations on your graduation. Regardless of how far you went and no matter what the technology tells you, you can run non stop for 30minutes and that's what the programme is all about. Big big well done! :)

Well done on your graduation. Don't worry about the distance. It's the 30 minutes that is important.

I did my first 5k after graduation and it took me a lot longer than 30 minutes.

Don't forget to ask for your badge.

well done! I get confused with all the apps, there seems to be some variation in distances (same with watches) but you achieved the main goal, running for 30 minutes, whoohooo!!

Aside from in a race for life (where I think the course was a little short and I thought I would die when my heart rate hit 200bpm) it took me months after graduation to do 5K in 30 minutes, I think people who do it are the exception, not the rest of us ;-)
