I started running 2 months ago, iv just done a good 6.7km in 45 minutes this is so I know I'm getting at least 5k in actual running, giving a good 5min warm up and cool down, I also do a 10 minute stretch session. But I just feel like I'm lagging. 😞 any tips on how to keep motivated?

Just enjoy running for the sake of it. It's got so much going for it that I can't think why you'd not be motivated to get out there. If you've not run before, and/or are new to exercise then you have to give your body time to adjust and toughen up sufficient to support your running. These things take time to build so just be patient and keep plugging away. It will come, but there's no need to push too hard as that could lead to injury. We're new runners til we've been running 18 - 24 months

Eight weeks is nothing at all in running terms so you're not lagging at all. In the meantime you can help your fitness by walking, cycling, swimming or whatever sport you choose to get your overall fitness and stamina a lot better. It's all grist to the mill

Good look and don't be disheartened

It does take a while to get into the habit, but hopefully you will already be feeling better for running. What I began doing was plotting courses via places that I never thought I could run to - the next town, a park some distance away etc. It's a really satisfying feeling to get somewhere distant under your own steam, especially if you can run via footpaths & shortcuts so that you can get to places more directly than you ever could in the car. I find this, and the benefits of feeling fitter, and simply the enjoyment of being out on a nice run, to be enough.

If you need more motivation then it's quite common to sign up for a race some time in the future to give yourself something to work towards - sounds like you could handle a 10k in the Autumn easily enough and that might keep you training for it. Then maybe pick another some months later and try to train to better your time.
