Did my 2nd Park Run today 37.33 which was 1 minute slower than first one ;( I did however walk down the steep hill on the second circuit as I am sure its what made my knees ache last week and I definitely don't want to give myself injuries! It was hotter too so I'm sure that had an effect can't wait for the next one now !! :)

Well done, you did great and it was only a minute slower, and yep I'd blame the heat as well, I was just over 6minutes slower than I was last week but was determined to run the whole course, which I managed to, it sounds like you have picked up the parkrunitis virus as well, hope you never recover from it :)

I hope you had a great day and a great run, your just like me, I finished my parkrun today and said that I wanted to do it again today lol, I hope next week turns out just as good as this week for both of us :)

Sounds great.

I went to watch / cheer on hubby & son / babysit daughter at our local Parkrun this morning. Watching them all drag themselves around in the heat was inspirational (and perhaps borderline cruel)! Back in the car the temperature gauge said 18 degrees. Thus, if you have ran in similar conditions this morning (at any pace) I salute you :)

The heat makes a huge difference! You did right to take care going downhill - there is a skill in running downhill, that you need to practice (everyone practices running uphill, but being able to run downhill safely takes some work, too!). Well done.

Thank you the uphill wasn't too bad it was longer so more gentle than the shorter steeper downhill. I will definitely practise, someone said to zigzag down it not sure if that will work? Sounds like much more effort !
