First Park Run done ran with the 36 minute pacer so was really happy with that ! I did lose him on last 500m as I walked for about 30 seconds as I didn't want to crawl through the finish line and got a bit of energy to finish with a good pace ! Its the first time I have ever walked when I'm supposed to be running but this course had some hills and I am used to running on a very flat Island ! I found running downhill worse than uphill hoping I will get more confident on the downhill part with time! The finish had balloons up and lots of people cheering, lots of people were running in 70s costumes as it was an anniversary run today ! Can't wait for my next one now I'm buzzing !!

Way to go - great time! - You'll be hooked now :-)

I've yet to get a sub 40mins for a Parkrun but I love the atmosphere. :-)

Well done, you should be really proud of yourself for just going and completing the run and to get a time of 36 minutes that's awesome, I came in with a rough time of 45minutes, I'm just glad I went, we should keep in touch doing the parkruns :)

Well done again, and enjoy the rest of the day :)

Take care,

Siobhan x

Think it was nearer 38 as I lost the pacer when I had my sneaky little walk ;) but think I would have collapsed at the finish line without it ! Your time is brilliant I wouldn't have managed that in week 6 so be very proud of yourself!!

Yes we should keep in touch and can inspire each other :)

Days when I have done a good run are always the best I wander round with a smile on my face !! x

That's still a great achievement, I've just found out my time and I did the run a bit quicker than I thought, I thought I had done the park run in 45mins if not more but it turns out I ran it in 43mins and 15seconds I'm really pleased with :) I've been doing c25k since about december but keep repeating weeks again and again but I'm getting there :)

Keep up the good work, your doing brilliant :) x

OMG just checked my time 36.39 not sure what overall position of 215 is because there was not that many runners but 74th gender position doesn't sound so bad ! Really happy with the time but tough to beat next week ! :)

Well done. That's a great effort.

Hills are tough in every respect and like you, I find coming down every bit as hard as going up. Short quick steps reduce the impact forces and seems to be the best way for me - might be worth a try for you next time.
