well this race lived up to its name it was very hot but very enjoyable in fact compared to last year where for the last 4 miles i run out off steam and hated it,however this i decided there was to no drama no setting off to fast and i would beat the 1hr47 time as well .
as you know ive been experimenting with keeping to my said pace and for this race it was 7.30 min miles as it happens i actually ran between 7.10/7.20 min miles i had no problems apart from the last 2 miles where the voice in my head kept telling me to stop but i didn't so ladies and gentleman i m have very good news i finished in 1hr37 even after 21 months of running im still getting faster just goes to show that you should never give up on something happy running all

Wow that is incredible Moger and in that heat as well! Hats off to you man! Isn't it amazing how we can still improve, there must be a limit though or we will be finishing before we start! X πππ
Congratulations. My run sounds similar to how you did last year. I was absolutely steaming along until about 15k (well, in my terms) and then hit a massive wall. Somehow dragged myself to the finish at about 1:55. The sorry tale is here: connect.garmin.com/modern/a.... The hardest thing was running past my house with about 2k to go --- oh it was so tempting.
I hated it last year started too fast Laces came undone 3 times and by the time we hit the farm track after the busway that was it then I see the hill and it was run walk and that zigzag finish running past your house is bad I've would have stopped ,I've just remembered we had to stop at oakington to let the bus go passed
