Is it just me, but I find I get very hot feet when I run for more than 5 minutes. I'm wearing lovely meshy running shoes and quite thin [running] socks. I have to seek out puddles and running water and trot through that to keep them cool.
Is it me having weird feet, or do others 'suffer' too?
You must be running very fast Sally! Roadrunner-like! Can't say I've noticed my feet feeling hot as I'm too busy thinking what shade of Crimson my face is going.
Ah, ha; a fellow hot footer. I just keep having to find any water, which running by a river is easy, so I can keep the old back-paws cool. Trouble is that running through water makes the running shoes wet [obvious comment time] and that makes them pong...
The irony is that I have suffered with cold feet most of my life. Still do sometimes but get the hot feet too. I like crunching through the ice on a puddle in the winter.
I usually have laces covered in peat so my shoes get rinsed off and then I leave them propped up to dry but I have two pairs and alternate so they dry out completely. I do hate smelly shoes!
Good to hear about the ice and peat. I love bright, crisp mornings when the frost has kissed the leaves on the trees and the blades of grass crunch under your feet; I also love having peat on my feet. Isn't life great?
