W6r1 i tracked my average running pace today. Using the runkeeper app. Im a bit disapointed that i ran at a 14min/pm but on the other hand ive never been able to run 1 min never mind running 2miles. Hopefuly i can work on my pace as i get more into it. I found that i had little sprint in the middle of each run. (Well what I call a sprint) but had to keep telling myself to slow down a bit. But on whole. Im still loving it. 😆

I remember being disappointed with my pace at around this point in the programme, and wish I'd never tried to ascertain what it was. Believe me, you will get faster if that's what you want to do. For now, just concentrate on completing the programme, at which point you will be running for 30 minutes. After that you can work on pace, distance, whatever takes your fancy. Think of what you have achieved so far and be proud of that. Be patient, go steady and enjoy! x :-)

6 weeks after going for your first run you really don't need to be worrying about your pace. 16 months in and running all sorts of distances and events and my pace is still the last thing on my mind. Stamina and endurance and leg strength are the things that matter.

Well its great that you are loving it, that's what counts, but at the risk of being 'predictable' or Clichéd' one step at a time?

Someone introduced me to runkeeper but I deliberately didn't use it until after I graduated. When I used it I was also disappointed with what it was telling me and as a result I tried to run too fast forgetting everything C24K had taught me. I was getting out of breath and I didn't enjoy a few of my runs so now I turn the voice off, run at a comfortable pace for me,I enjoy my run and I don't check the app till I have finished. I only pay attention to the duration and the distance and don't bother with the pace. It really is one step at a time. If you try to do too much too soon you will spoil what you have already achieved (which, don't forget is an awful lot by week 6!) Good Luck.
