I have always had a problem with slowing down and running a steady pace, i know I should slow down, and I have never been competitive, but I find myself wanting to beat my Strava time from the last run.
I run only, for myself, and don’t want to do Park runs, 5k races or compete against other people.
I have found a great app that I used last run called Runmeter. What do you all use?
I have put my last run below, for feed back.

This is the down side to tracking runs. 👎🏼 During the training, when we should be concentrating on conditioning our bodies and building our running legs it is too easy to be sucked into the "must go faster" "must go further" holes.
Provided you are managing to stay at a conversational pace throughout you're not at risk of overdoing things.
Just keep an eye on it. Once you're through W9 and on the other side your legs should be sufficiently conditioned to start increasing speed if that's what you want to acheive however even then you will reach a plateau that you'll have to vary your training to break through.
I use Strava but given the debatable accuracy of all tracking devices I am far less hung up on speed. I'm still working on being less hung up on distances 🤣
I use Strava, and look at the stats. However I’ve found I’m going slower the further into the plan I get, but I don’t really care about that at the mo. My initial aim is to be able to complete the plan and run non stop for 30 mins. Then I’ll work on distance and speed 😁
Sounds like you are enjoying yourself and that is great.
Not sure if you have completed C25k and now into your consolidation phase.
The tried and tested adaption programme is perhaps not about building your pace but more your stamina/endurance and running body.
Although initially it has to be a simple process, it is good to venture into a variety of running, from trotting, cantering and galloping to develop and stimulate all types of twitch fibre and muscle. You need them all.
That sounds really fast. I ran one run literally talk out loud to myself at different stages describing what I could see etc to check I was running slow enough for conversation pace, maybe worth a try.
