Hi I have been running a bit in the gym for the lase couple of weeks, I have got up to 3k mix of walking and running. Heard about this site and really want to get up to 5K. Can I start in the middle of the weeks? Don't really want to go back to week 1. What do you think?

How you start is completely up to you. Since you have been run/walking for a couple of weeks, maybe think about starting on week 3 (longest run between walking breaks is 3 minutes).

You could do the first run from week1. Assuming you find it easy, move on to the first run of week 2 etc, moving through the weeks until you find the right level for you. It all builds stamina, none of it is wasted.

Good luck!

I would recommend getting off the treadmill, getting outside (maybe not in this current wind and rain!) and starting from Wk 2 or 3. It's a bit harder outside (or so I've heard - I've never run on a treadmill), but then you get all the benefits from the fresh air and Vit D, birds, clouds, fields, rabbits etc etc.
