week 9 run 2 in the bag

Nothing heroic to report today, I decided as I'd already shown I can run 5k that I would aim to do it again but - due to the curse of the 2nd run - take it nice and easy.

So, 5km in 35min 2sec continuous running and I finished feeling good. I can't believe I only have my graduation run left!

Hi Patsy,

it's very easy to use, go here and download the app or the podcasts if you haven't already : nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/... you can use the app on a smartphone or (like me) the podcasts on an ipod or phone.

Then you work your way through the runs, in order, with at least one day of rest between them. Just plug your headphones in, press play and do whatever Laura tells you to do!

If you need to have extra rest days or repeat a run that's fine, they work like magic, building up your fitness and stamina so that every week you achieve runs that you probably think are impossible in week 1 (I know I did!)

If you have other questions, start a new thread on the forum and you'll get tons of support and advice - and from people with far more running experience than me. Feel free to message me too, and let us know how you get on :)
