"Geefor" the Garmin arrived in the post today, I'm in work 18 miles miles away from her
Do I run tonight and take her out for a spin or do I get up at 05:15 in the morning for my usual jaunt?

Wait until tomorrow. She'll have had a long journey to get to you and will need a little rest and some sustenance before she's properly ready to join you on a run (charge her tonight).
You'll probably also want to give her a little tickle and see what she does in response (you'll want to poke buttons and see what happens and how things work).
Your probably right.
However she has only made the short journey from Peterborough via two sorting offices
But that's from where she was staying for a bit. It's not where she came from originally. She would have grown up as a baby Garmin in a far-eastern land.
Then one day she set out on the long journey to find fame and fortune. Stopping for a time in some exotic locations before, finally, finding her way to her new home.
She's had it tough that plucky little Garmin.
I'll give her a rest tonight and a rude awakening in the morning
Ha ha, Brilliant you two ! xxx
Tonight ☺
I'm sure tomorrow is the correct answer. But I know for sure I wouldn't be able to wait that long if it was me!
Have fun with her
I just got a forerunner 15 "red15". All charged and monitoring steps and sleep (very interesting). Sadly I'm doing a treadmill run tomorrow and Friday so I can't play with it until Saturday.
I've got to try and do some more outside running. 40 minutes on a treadmill is doing my head in.
Took "Geefor" out this morning for a quick 5K round the streets. Got home, got out the Laptop and sync'd. Then got a"B*llocking" off Mrs Millwalki for messing about when all the familiy needed to be up and about, I was holding them up apparently.
Just need to connect the Garmin page to Strava now (My old work mate lives in Canada and its how I check her progress and she checks mine).
