Starting week 2 - ok so far!

Just completed day 1 of week 2, going ok so far, and surprising myself. What do others use to hold their iPhones while jogging? My ear pieces are not great either, any tips please. Thanks.

Well done! The weeks soon fly by and with them comes a real sense of achievement!

Some people use arm bands and some use bumbags (revolting name!!). I use a bumbag which I got from Sports Direct for under a fiver. It has room for my car key, tissues and my MP3 player with a little port for the headphones wire. I now thread the wire down my back under my t-shirt and that seems to work well.

I use a running belt too. Don't really know it's there. Run the headphone wires down my back or else I keep catching them with my hands and pulling the ear plugs out! I found an armband difgicult to get on with for the same reason.

I use a running belt from sports direct, you don't notice it's there. I run the cable under my bra strap to stop my earphones being pulled out when I turn my head. I use the other pocket on the belt for my key and pedometer. Well done for completing w2r1, you will be surprised how quickly you build up to 5k. Good luck

I use an arm band and have some sports ear phones that have loops to go over your ears to help keep them in place. If you can, it's worth investing in a good quality set as there does seem to be some difference regards comfort. Good luck!

I use an armband too, I got one that has a space in for my key as well. I tried a running belt first but it drove me nuts, it kept moving around my waist so that my headphones were half way around my body! I tuck the headphone cable into th side of the armband so I don't catch it. You can get both for around a fiver and see which you find more comfortable, try Amazon. You'll def want to put your phone in something when you move on to those longer runs! Good luck!

No, neither are mine. I have to wear a buff, folded several times to form a headband. It keeps wind out of my ears and holds the earplugs in place. Buffs are a great piece of kit!

Thank you lots of good suggestions, think I need a visit to a sports shop soon.

I bought an arm band but didn't get on with it. I have also tried a bum bag and also don't like that. What I settled on was one of those travel wallets that you wear round your neck and tuck inside your shirt. It worked best when it was colder and I was wearing two layers as I could wear it between them. It's small enough to not bother me but holds a house key, some tissues, my Parkrun barcode, emergency cash and my phone. If I want to play music it's in a good place for the headphones.

Thanks everyone for all the advice - today I purchased a pair of proper running shoes and an armband for my iphone. I'll sort out better earpieces next time I'm near an apple shop.

LOL - I put my house key in my bra and my Samsung down my pants (waistband of my joggers holds it in place - just) ha ha - I'm in wk 2 too - probably need to look at a more appropriate long term solution as the addiction is taking hold!!!!!

Glad to hear someone else uses their bra - phone gets shoved in and stays put nicely. Keys are more of a challenge, but I've only been out once when no-one else was in the house, so had to lock up. Agree - longer term solution would be a good idea!

Ha ha that made me laugh - I got an arm band as my bra is full (wink wink) ! But will need blue tooth ear pieces sometime as there's so much wire on my current ones. Just finished week 2 and hoping week 3 is kind! My key fits in the arm band too. Good luck we can do this .... We can AND WILL!
