It does look more complicated than week 3. But I'm viewing it as an extra 6 minutes of running, which sounds less daunting. I start week 4 on Saturday, so I'll be able to speak from experience then.

Keep going. You can do this.

I'm on week 6 and without a doubt I found week 4 run 1 the hardest of all so far but managed it through sheer determination. I felt sick at the end I'd pushed myself so hard but then runs 2 and 3 that week got slightly easier. Good luck and stay positive... you can do it!

Each week is a step up from the previous one, but it's all carefully planned so it's achievable. Just take it easy, don't push the pace, and you'll be fine.

Don't concentrate on the numbers, just concentrate on one run at a time, and keep in mind all the time the progress you've made since you started! Week four is a step up, but it works out fine. It's nothing we can't handle. If I managed it, so can you!

It does seem as if there is a big difference, but I've just done it and it honestly wasn't too bad. I find it best not to think how much time you have left and just focus on the running. Strangely I found the second five minutes easier than the first.

I agree with Notquiteoverhill, the 2nd 5 min run was easier than the first. I did w4r1 on Saturday and never thought I'd be able to run for the extra 2 mins, it felt like too much of a step up. But I did it, I purposely slowed myself down so was only slightly faster than walking pace but it was a jog all the same! Trust the programme is all I can say, and you will do it! (Mind you my legs were killing me the rest of the day!)

....the only thing you have to fear is fear itself...the running will be fine !

I've felt like that at the end of every week but take the advice I was given and that was just give it a go. I have just done W5r1 I still have a love hate relationship with my running but always feel great afterwards :-)
