This was my worst run in all the week s of this programme. No matter how I tried to push myself I just HAD to stop about 4 times. My legs felt like lead weight s and I felt my chest could not we enough air. Tried and tried to push the gremlins away but today it just did not work. Disappointed but never mind onwards and upwards hey ho.
Gremlins won I'm afraid: This was my worst run... - Couch to 5K
Gremlins won I'm afraid
Oh that's a shame ML. How long since your last run? Do you need an extra rest day in between (I have 2!)? Are you trying to run too fast? You've come so far, you can do this, I hope the next one works well for you. Stay positive, you're right, onwards and upwards
Really sorry to hear that. Those gremlins can be horrid little boogers! I wonder if you were going a bit too fast? I only ask because the only week I stopped early (also because I couldn't breathe and my legs were like lead) it was because I was pushing myself to go too quickly. I've slowed down a lot since and haven't had any trouble. Don't let it put you off - tomorrow (or even the day after) is another day!
Oh no - what a rotten thing to happen I've had similar runs myself and usually it's come down to expecting too much of myself or when I've been fighting off a lurgy of some kind. I haven't had a cold AT ALL since starting this program but have fought off a few (my children are very generous with their germs) - perhaps you're just not 100% - look forward to hearing about your next run
Well look on the bright side, you went out and you did the session albeit with a few breaks. As they say 'any run is better than no run'. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Don't worry. It happens to us all. Next run you will probably be absolutely fine and have a great run. Just put it behind you. You are doing fab.
Was it something to do with the rubbish air quality too?
