Pic of my new support trainers. My big feet on this occasion saved me £40 as had to buy mens trainers. The women's equivalent were too narrow and also not as nice blue. Very chuffed with my purchase let's hope they work and both legs do the same thing. Thank you all for ur support and advice. Keep it up X

Thanks Fredl. Yes always nice to get new kit but was more necessity as had gait analysis. I've still got pink trainers in the box I'd bought for graduation ha ha. If and when!

You will get there. I think I might splurge for a new Garmin when I graduate.

Fantastic - I bought my new trainers for wk 5, r3 - made a huge difference and now you're a runner you deserve the best. Good luck with the rest of the programme.

Thank you Buffy. As soon as I tried them on they felt like slippers and told the man to take the rest away. I hope they do help as got them at my gait analysis :-)

I was like that too - unfortunately he very cunningly showed me the most expensive first!

Ahh that's a shame. It's not nice to get ripped off :-(

Ooh! New shoes! Lovely. You'll run like the wind in those!

Thanks Ullyrunner. I'd settle for running like a slight breeze at the mo :-D

Nice! I have the horrible pink ladies version. They are very comfy though! :)

I'm not adverse to a pink trainer (have a new pink pair Kanadia's still in the box) but you're right these are very comfy. Thanks spikymoss :-)

Lovely shoes! Kanadias too! They are for trail running by the way. Are you into running the trails then? I started C25k out on the trail. It's a bit softer!

Sorry to disappoint you Misswobble but my Kanadia's have always been my walking shoes. That's to say till now (only been running the last 7 weeks :-) ) and I purchased the new pink one's specifically for the race for life (being pink). I will definitely use them as the race for life is on grass does that count as trail?

Yes I think it does.

Julia those are lovely trainers. And a bargain with it. I'm running with asics and like you said they are like slippers. Not that I've tried running in my slippers before lol. Keep up the good work. Those pink ones will soon be out and ready to go :) J

Thanks for that Jase44. They are comfy, I think I might try a different brand ofr my next pair but the guy in the shop said because I'm new to running stick with brand I was used to. I've just finished week 7 today and by far that has been the hardest week! Still drinking the water and not had any cramp or stitches so far. Thanks for the advice :-)
