needing a kick up the bottom to get out the door

...having a moment here - looking out the window, it's raining, there is a bit of a wind, i'm cold and have not eaten well today so think the fuel tank is low (except in sugar).

Struggling to find the energy to do my run today.

What week are you on? Consider yourself kicked - you know you'll feel good when you've done it, and conversely you'll regret it if you don't. Post later to tell us you did it.

Think of it this way, the day you describe is like most days in England, so if you are waiting for a better day, you might have a long wait. So may as well go now.

I've not yet had to run in the rain ☔ think I'd need a luck up the bum too. So this is me giving you a kick up the bum and if it's raining tomorrow got can give me one. Plus you'll feel great once you've done it 👍

Kick kick kick. Now your out the door get running. Once you have done it you will feel so glad you did. If you stay in then you will probably eat lots of bad food to try and make yourself feel better about not going which wont work and you will feel so down latet then and the circle of self destruction will begin. Dont undo all your hard work.

I will put on my size nine( actually I am a 5-6 but keep a size nine for such occasions as kicking up the proverbial ) and do as requested 😊We have all been there...if you want to be bored read some of my previous posts..I don't like running in the wind, rain, sleet, snow, sun, breeze and so on...but I do know that once you get out there you will be glad you did!!!So go for it and let us know how you got on😊😊

Ungh...that you for all the kickings. Much appreciated!

Well I did it and I hated every minute. That will teach me for eating badly today.

Even if I've eaten crap on a run day (and I try not to) I try to at least make sure I have a banana about 2 hours before I run. Seems to work!

Yep, if you eat well you'll run better.

Well done for turning out for your run.

It was horrible out this evening. Really cold and windy. I rewarded myself with a home made energy bar and some chop Options drink.

Well done on getting out, its absolutely flippin freezing here in Manchester and blowing a gale.

Why is it that no matter which way you run, its always blowing in your face ?

You did it, a big pat on the back for getting out there ! :-) xxx

Am i the only fair weather runner ? If it's cold, raining and windy then why would you want to run unless its critical to maintain the programme. Do people actually enjoy these conditions ? It reminds me of school cross country when we were forced to run whatever the weather and then forced to have a communal shower afterwards in water which was sometimes cold but at best never ever reached a reasonable temperature.
