I have just completed W3R1, it was definitely the hardest one yet and certainly pushed me to my limit! Really hard - yes, completed - YES!!!!!! Can't believe it but feeling good about myself. My legs are really aching though now, done my stretches so hopefully will ease off soon.
I also gave up smoking last week, so hopefully I am going to be a totally healthier version of me!

Well done!!! It's a great feeling eh? Each run gets harder but you somehow manage to do it....just follow the plan and you will be fine. It's addictive and the improvement in health is, I found, fairly rapid. Good luck!!
You are a total star. Well done - this can only get better. Warning - don't expect to save money having given up smoking - you'll be so hooked on running, you'll be spending all your money on a bit of this and a bit of that. Its just as addictive! Good luck. Keep posting.
I'm sure once the coughing/lung-clearing bit is out of the way you'll notice a real difference in the ease of your breathing from not smoking, so good call there. And keep going - week 3 is where it starts to pick up and get serious
Well done on all counts... I'm sure when you are running and a bit out of breath you wonder to yourself why you ever smoked and why you should never start again.. it does get easier and your lungs do remember what they are really for... trust me... been there, like a lot of people here.
Keep going Deb. Never quit, except the fags that is! You'll never look back. C25k is the best thing since sliced bread. It will change your life. You have to stick with it though.
