Seeing that it's your first run, it's probably just sore muscles that are complaining about being used in a way they're not used to. If that's the case, it will go away, but please do make sure to give your body time to recover between runs.
Bad pains in the arches can develop into plantar fasciitis, a pretty unpleasant condition. You don't get it from a single run, so don't worry. But you might want to google for exercises that strengthen the muscles around the arch to prevent things from getting bad.
And yes, bad shoes can cause a lot of things. Getting good shoes is quite important, but if I were you, I'd wait a few more runs before going out to splash out money on that. You want to "find your rhythm" so to speak before you get fancy shoes.
All the best
I agree that you get all sorts of aches and pains after the first run which eventually disappear when your body adjusts, so see how it goes. A tip about arches though, as I also get arch pain - they're connected to your hamstrings. So make sure you do all your hamstring stretches before and after the next run, this might help. Good luck!
Ruth has it spot on. Tight hamstrings/calf can cause this so do lots of stretching even on your non running days. The right shoes are important as well so if you haven't already done this a visit to a good running shop is well worth it. Good Luck!
