Up &Running or Runners Need

Any preference between the two? Going to get some proper shoes and these look like my options in Leeds. Going to get gait checked following injury and want to make sure I'm getting the best advice...never buying shoes from Sports direct again!

I can't comment about Up and Running as I've never used them. However I got excellent service from Runners Need (but not the Leeds branch). Had a gait anaysis. They spent time with me and did not try to sell me the most expensive shoes in the shop. They even suggested that I check a competitor's store because their range in my size might be better. Having been to the competitor and spent 30 minutes being ignored whilst the staff chatted amongst themselves I returned to Runners Need (we identified the perfect shoe for me but RN only had it in dayglo colours - thought the competitor may sell the subdued version). I now wear sunglasses when running in daylight...

don't know what side of town you're on but can really recommend the Sweatshop in Meadowhall! Got mine there

I popped into Up and Running yesterday as I think the new shoes recommended to me from another shop are not right. I explained I would not be buying at the moment, but would return if I could get a refund on the wrong shoes from the other shop. They spent quite some time with me, and let me try on lots of shoes. I had a nice chat with the chappie too, very friendly, I'll certainly be going there next time. I don't know Runners need though so cant comment. I'd say pretty much any where would be good though, just so long a s you're not pressured into buying expensive shoes, and you get a good return guarantee.

Gaps in Up & Running Deansgate Manchester were super helpful when I went in to buy my new running pants. I did though buy my shoes from my local independent store and they were superb.
