Me too not had a garmin before but wanted something that will suit my needs years from now, so it seemed the best option. Though I do covet the 620 but it would have more stats than I would be able to decipher

Feel the same..I just don't think I could justify they extra cost of the 620.Perhaps when I do an HM lol!!!

You laugh now, but this running has done some crazy stuff to people. I bet in a year or two you'll be signing up for one!

I've had a 610 for some time. It has more features than I know what to do with. Virtual this, automatic that and a lot of stuff that goes buzz and/or ping. The good news is apart from when I forget to recharge it (like this morning) it has never let me down.
