Hi everyone, it's been a while, threw my back out last November and have not run or much else since, thought going back to the start would be better so first run done. Not too bad really!!!! Wish me luck , Andy

Good luck Andy. It took me a few goes to actually finish (I found out I could rewind the iPhone app and left myself stuck on weeks 1-3 for months!).

You will enjoy it - but look after your back.

Thank you, I'm taking thugs slow slow slow, getting older really sucks!!!!!

It beats sitting on the couch :-)

I am super slow and old but on the three parkruns I have done I have actually beaten at least one person younger than me. I certainly passed younger people on the Santa Dash!

Speed doesn't matter - moving does.

Go really steady then you won't upset your back

I think my back has got stronger since i became a runner. I think all of me has got stronger, come to that.

I take care though and so should you

Have fun!

Welcome back Andy and well done for getting the first run done. Running is good for the back as it needs movement to keep it supple, so keep at it. Good luck!
