Sorry, all you shivering, muffled up UK mates... (And yes, I know you have to turn it sideways to see it. The hemisphere change hasn't improved my IT skills).

Whereabouts are you Turturtle? I WALKED up Mt Managui ( near Taurunga) when I was there a month or so ago.

On a farm near Patoka, 45 minutes inland from Napier. WE have friends going to Mt Manganui tomorrow. The weather has been so good here it's just unfair. Running in the heat is awful! ;-)

MT Manganui is a real climb!!! I had intentions of RUNNING up it -- but NO WAY!!! :) But it is well worth the walk/crawl!! :)

Now THAT looks like a track to discover. Beautiful.

Jealous, moi? YES! Lucky you.

Do you normally run on a track like that (forgetting the stunning scenery) (if that's possible) or are you a pavement runner or a treadmill runner?

Enjoy!

I normally run around muddy fields or on our local village pavements imagining curious eyes behind every twitching curtain. I've finally discovered what running for pleasure means in NZ!

How Gorgeous!! Looks like a bigger version of my local runs in summer.

Waaaah! I miss the summer!!

I am doing mid-week runs on treadmill for the winter and the heat at the gym is killing me.

I can't wait to get back to running on the beach in summer - hot sun with nice cool breeze. Bootiful

Oh how awful, poor you it looks terrible....*gnashing of envious teeth* xx

One of the best things about this area is that there's virtually no traffic. The odd quad bike or ute, whose drivers always wave. And the farm terrier comes with me to keep me safe!

What a lovely pic TT. It's nearly spring here. I know it is. Soon the gloves and hats and thick socks and layers will be parked up on bricks until next winter. Nearly spring, nearly spring ...

I plan to arrive home on the first day of spring. I promise to bring good weather back with me ;)
