My first attempt at 2:3 today ...

My first attempt at 2:3 today and I managed 5 full jogs out of 6. I would be pleased, except that I’ve also reduced my distance to where it was on my first attempt at 1:1. This doesn’t bode well for the future ! Someone please tell me where I’m going wrong ?!

Wrong? You’re not going wrong! Good run. Don’t look at distance!!!

W1R1 is 8 running minutes W2R3 is 9 minutes, 1.5 one of which you didn’t complete this time... so maybe you ran 8! That would put you even to the first and gong longer often means you go slower.

Never thought of that ! I jogged a minute of run 2 and all the other five, so in total I jogged for longer than last week, just not as far.

I would call that a roaring success! You jogged for 5/6 intervals! You’ll totally crack them all in your next run! You’re doing awesomely well. It’s not about distance per se it’s about completing the intervals. Pat yourself on the back, you did 5 x better than week 2 r 1😀😀

Thanks, Tartancat. You’re right, of course. I haven’t been able to run my usual track for the last week or so, and getting back on today I found it a bit alarming to see how much distance I wasn’t covering, in spite of my purple face 😄
