I would like to introduce Dave. My new garmin gps training watch. After a little advice and reading on here, I thought I'd buy one for Xmas.
But in my haste I thought I was getting a garmin 10, what I actually got was the forerunner 610 of eBay and from the states. So it turned up today and aside from the wrong plug there is nought wrong. Got an hr strap too but I need to get the usb stick so I can upload data to a pc. Not a major problem to be honest. But it will take me a little while to get it set up and learn the functions.
Not bad for a mistake, luckily I didn't get shafted for import or vat.

Ooh nice!! Happy Christmas to you! Bet you can't wait to try it out
He is sat in the corner in a mope as I went out tonight with the gearfit instead.
Just waiting for the battery to fully charge, set up is all done now and I'll order the usb stick of eBay in the morning. Should get that by next week.
Naming your watch seems like a great idea. I think I will name mine Matilda.
After my run with the Bullets last Sunday I was advised to use the pace tool. Up until now I have just been using it as a GPS trace and distance logger. Now I can say I am going out with Matilda! Matilda can set the pace and beep when I am going too slow or fast. It will be like having a running buddy
