Bizarre W7R2 - etiquette on meeting a drunk person?

Soooo... I challenge myself to get the trainers on and run in the pouring rain.

S’all good!

I’m almost half way through when I see a man weaving on the path ahead of me. The path is normally always deserted.

For a moment I thought he might be picking things from the hedgerow as he had a bag and kept disappearing into the hedge. I jog on towards him - ut oh - he veers out towards me and the road - hes drunk...!

He stops to let me go by. I Smile nicely. My anxiety going through the roof!

He wobbly.

At half way point on the run I turn round to head home - im already worried that Ill likely over take him on the path - but he is NOWHERE TO BE SEEN AHEAD OF ME. Path is straight.

5mins later , run past a trainer sticking out of the bushes and he has fallen and passed out in the verge by the path. He had such a happy drunk smile on his face - but it was piddling it down so i poked him and helped him back on his feet and walked him back to the village! 😂😂😂🥴🥴🥴

Well done all round. Great run and you helped someone... he’ll find his way home for sure, I always did!

You are so good helping that chap. I think I might have been afraid he would be aggressive! How are the hills treating you?

I was so worried he was going to be trouble - but I couldn’t leave him. 😖

The hills are haarrrd - I’m not sure my calves will ever stop aching! 😅😅

I’m on holiday but running. There is a looooong slooow hill for me at the end of my run. It’s worse than the one at home and that’s bad enough. I’ve driven up this one here many times and it seems like no hill, but when you have to run it, what a killer. It’s my graduation run tomorrow and all the way round I’ll be thinking about that damn hill!

There I was, having had a couple of sherbets or ten, weaving my way down a village path, when this runner heads for me. The bright colours and speed made me feel even woozier.

I settled down for a comfy snooze in the hedge, nice and sheltered from the rain. Then, blow me, same runner returns, gives me a kick, and then insists on dragging me back to the village I’d been escaping from! A diabolical liberty I call it 😁😁

Ha ha you never know what you'll find on a run do you, so far I've found 2 dogs that I've helped re-unite with owners, one was a little Westie so I scooped him up and took him back to his owner who I'd passed earlier and was desperately looking for him, the other gave me the right run around I was already knackered having just completed a 30 minute run and ended up chasing this basset hound all round the houses I did eventually catch up with him and found the owner, but as yet I've not come across any drunk people whilst on my run... lol
