I'm actually looking forward to doing W5R1?!!! Just over a month ago I thought it was total insanity to think I could run, jog, or walk fast even. A month ago saw me struggling to complete a 60 second run wondering when the heck that very looooong minute would finish? My kids and grandkids thing I've been alien abducted and they've dropped an even nuttier person back on earth. Still 3 stone overweight and 61 years of age and I have the nerve to think I can do this thing AND enjoy (almost) every minute of it.
I'm not as scared approaching the next step 'cos that Laura bird knows what she's talking about, I trust her and I trust you lovely lot to help. Trying to keep things in the day but can't help wondering how fab it'll be when I can be out there in more clement weather running miles and getting that wonderful buzz afterwards...it's BRILLIANT, what more can I say?

Weird isn't it? I can't wait for the chance to run on sunnier days without several layers of clothing. I have to confess to being a little bit in love with Laura - I know she'll never steer me wrong I'll be on week 5 by the weekend (hopefully), and whilst run 3 concerns me a bit, I know the sense of achievement if I do get it done will be huge. My wife keeps wondering where her husband has gone, and who I actually am! Good luck, Steve x
Yep you've definitely joined the addicted club. Welcome and really well done in getting this far. With your attitude you'll be running for 30 minutes sooner than you think!
I think that you starting it at this time of year is something to really hold your head up and be proud of, as it is so much easier in the spring . summer months when it is warmer, day light longer to complete C25K. Even as a graduate I am struggling to go out at the moment cos I hate the cold and wet.
You're hooked now! That's it. Everywhere you go you'll be looking in sport shops windows and checking out likey looking routes incase you ever want to run round there.
Well done! This addiction thing is strange, I enjoy it so much I find I want to get all my friends running and can't quite work out why they look at me oddly. Why oh why did I put it off all those years?
I know what you mean, people are looking at me even MORE oddly than usual!
haha it seems like you got the bug it is wonderful I used to think exactly the same as you before i started , 56 yr ex smoker of 8 months or so when i started ..
It really is a life changer , so glad you are enjoying and relishing the runs remember the mantra is slow and steady
