Out of action with pleurisy but as I'd promised to Marshall at park run I braved the elements, put on loads of layers and went anyway. I took it easy walking up to marshaling point and have to say I really enjoyed it! Of course there was some payback later on and it took me a while to bounce back. Hubby says I'm mad but I've never been a good patient and couldn't stay in all day and it did feel psychologically good!

Helping out at Parkrun is great (and everybody should do it as they rely on volunteers) - you get to see the whole gamut of participants from the super speedy to the people who go there to walk but it does my heart good to see them all - and everybody doing there best
