Whoop! New Park Run!!

I last did a parkrun on the 11th October 2014. I struggled to get there again because of work and then I was struck down by a filthy chest infection :(. Anyway a new parkrun started much closer to my house and I finally got there today. It is the Perry Hall parkrun which is in North Birmingham. I absolutely loved it! While I really enjoyed running at Walsall arboretum I found three laps hard to deal with sometimes and there is a killer hill at the end of every lap. Perry Hall is only two laps! The scenery is lovely especially on this cold and frosty morning. Some of it you run on grass which I prefer and its very flat. At one point you run alongside the river.

If you are in the North Birmingham area and debating a parkrun I would really recommend!

I also got a great time for me, just a few seconds outside my PB and considering I have not been running as often and I have not done a parkrun in such a long time I am really impressed. I did have to remove my jacket at one point as well which is bound to have slowed me down. Loved it! Love parkrun!!!

Well done! Good for you. It sounds like the perfect choice. I feel like a hamster on a treadmill on our one as you just run the same bit of track five times

five times sounds really hard! i think its the hill at the end of every lap which I have always struggled with. No hills and two laps was lovely. I hope it can continue there.
