I'm thinking they look rather tempting.......
Has anybody got one of these or have any other opinions?
Many thanks

Hi Mossy, I use a Nike+ SportWatch, with both the footpod and GPS sensor. They can also link to a HeartRate Monitor, but I don't have one of these (yet). I do like the watch - I tend to have it displaying my Pace on the big numbers - so I can keep an eye if I'm running too fast or too slow, and then have elapsed time on the 'stat loop' at the top of the screen.
Like all GPS running watches it is a bit slow sometimes to pick up a GPS signal, but will go in a 'QuickStart' mode, just using the footsensor until getting a GPS lock. Battery life is brilliant, and I like the simplicity of the whole thing.
It is easy to connect to the Nike+ running site - just a simple USB connection to my Mac (previously I used a PC with similar results). The website is a bit basic, with a map of where you've run, pace and elevation, and then 1km split times. But for recording where you've been, when and how far you've run, it is OK for me.
Final comment - it is a bit big! The flat part that you wear against your wrist is 4cm across and 3cm wide. If you are interested in this watch, do see if you can try it on before writing to Santa.
Thank you Mark - very useful to hear a real life review!
I do have quite small wrists so I'll be sure to see if I can have a physical look at one before I decide
