Attempted w1d2 but trainers rubbed, they are new, but what's the best socks to wear to prevent shoes rubbing? :)

Sorry you have a blister so early on, try dabbing surgical spirit on the blister. I use More Mile running socks which I get from Amazon, not too expensive and last for ages. Come in sizes too which is a big bonus for my little size 3.5's as they do 2.5-5.0 size which is perfect.

I got a blister when I stupidly decided not to wear socks. I have some very good running socks from Lidl and some SportsDirect marathon socks

Another vote for the 'More-Mile' socks from me, 'Start Fitness' have them on 3 for £10, wick the sweat away too which is great. If you find you are getting a rubbing spot while you break your new trainers in, a precautionary sticking plaster can help.

Oh how how irritating! I don't have special socks but always try to remember to rub cream, like a body moisturiser or hand-cream or anything into my feet before running - no probs so far and my feet love the few moments of attention!!!

Hi Bopeep!

I thought I was the only one to do this! I have a little ritual going these days....slather my feet with body butter before putting my socks on, then kid myself that my feet are enjoying a pamper session while I get on with the running! To be honest, I think it's working.....

WE must be great! It's since I've been upping the slathering of cream on the tootsies that I've been noticing a difference....I guess now's the time to unleash this breakthrough news on the world.....OR our Health Unlocked mates....

Buy some cheap sports direct running socks. You can get a pack of thousands for a few quid - well, not 1000's, but loads!

Do NOT run without socks. You're insane!!!!

I got some from the Aldi sale last week, they are like running on marshmallows - the ones i was wearing before were like running on string!

My Tesco running socks have been fine too. I learnt the hard way when I wore some socks that were too big. Never again!

I got my running socks from Sports Direct actually. They are really good! Never had any blisters or rough feet. The socks is by Karrimor: sportsdirect.com/SearchResu...

Colourful too c:!

Kbonirose, I read that athletes protect their feet and legs with compression socks, this is to avoid injury and vein bursting!

I wear compression socks which I bought from Amazon called 1000 Mile and California More Mile. These two kind are not too expensive, in comparison with the prescribed ones. I did pay £40 for some GCTech ones, as I wanted some navy blue ones. They are quite good ones.

My bro-in-law was a rugby man. He put some tape round his ankles and found this very good. Hope this helps (and a plaster over your blister of course!)

I use Aldi and Mile More Running Socks. Didn't realise at first there was a little "L" and "R" on them :-) Didn't make me run any faster when I realised.
