Graduation: If at first you don't succeed....

.... Try, try again. After getting all the way to week 9 run three last year and, for all the usual reasons (work, vacation, sickness & winter) giving up upon graduating, I've finally made it back this year and completed the C25K programme! Having to start all over again was tough in the beginning, but once you do make a start it gets much easier when you know you've done it all before and you know IT IS achievable! So happy to have made it this far and I've definitely no intention of giving up this time ;) Now where do I get me one of those nice shiny graduation badges?!

Congratulations IndieWaif! You've shown real dedication and commitment to get so close last year and then to restart. Well done.

You can get your well earned badge frm the pinned posts on the right side of the "all posts" page.

I look forward to seeing your badge against your name!

Congratulations - it took me three + attempts to graduate but like you say don't give up now. I found setting goals helped with this especially if you share them here. I sure you won't as you know how hard you have had to work to graduate.

Enjoy this feeling as its great and well done once again.

That's fantastic - doing it once is pretty good, and doing it twice even more impressive. Keep it up!

Well done, especially so having done it twice!

I am worried myself about slipping during the winter, but I am determined not to let the weather put me off. I've gone an bought lots of lovely stuff to encourage me - long sleeve high vis tops, flashing light arm bands, head torch, longer leggings, warm top, new socks.. I just can't stop!

So good luck to you for continuing through the autumn and winter, into next spring.

Hope to be with you through it too.

:) xx

Thanks for the encouraging words @pinkangel16! I've decided to try going to the gym this winter instead of running outside as they have lots of great, flexible / pay-as-you-go type memberships (better.org.uk/). I'm a morning runner and I don't fancy getting out of my nice warm bed to go and run outside on those icy cold mornings - you're a braver woman than me! I'm sure if you take it slow and easy you will be fine out there though. Maybe go to your local running shop and ask them for footwear advice if you haven't done so already? Let us know how its goes :)
