A week off and not looking forward to this morning

Last Sunday I ran 5k and cut 13 seconds of my last time - I have done it so few times I hesitate to call it a personal best yet, it is just the time I did it in last. I managed to get a couple of sore toes and decided not to run on Tuesday but to take an extra rest day Then we suddenly had to travel 300 miles to look at a house that came up for sale and that took up Wednesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday I procrastinated some more and today is our 40th wedding anniversary but Mr Rosebery is still asleep and I am definitely going to go out today. Probably. Almost certainly. In a minute. Or two. Or maybe after another cup of tea. Anyway, I am posting here in order to make myself go out. I know I will enjoy it, at least when it's over!

Awww any time knocked off is a PB. You will keep knocking off time. Enjoy your run ;-)

13 secs is a great reduction. I know real life can get in the way of running, just go out and tell yourself you can stop after 20 mins (or whatever) if you aren't enjoying it. I bet you'll fly round! Sometimes a little break is good...Happy anniversary xxx

You sound just like me today, just waiting for my breakfast to go down and procrastinating is definitely the right word! :) report back after??!!

Reporting back. I covered 4.71k without the warm-up/down but very slowly with quite a lot of walking because my children kept texting me and posting things on Facebook and I kept looking at the phone. That's my excuse, it also happens to be true, and now I can go out for our anniversary lunch without feeling too guilty. How did you do aliboo?

I never switch my phone on when I run. You can chat after your run. Save your breath for your running! No you can't have another cuppa!

I'm kicking butt this morning. LOL

I bet you were glad you headed out. Enjoy your lunch and very well done on your PB. Great stuff!!!!!

Lunch was lovely. Running was not brilliant but at least it was moving my mass through the distance and that is all to the good. Thanks everyone.
