Good luck Bob and I agree it's an excuse, too many people are happy to sit in doors and watch TV when you just have to step outside, even a walk to start with, I hate to think what it will be like for you young generations coming through that are currently huddled over their computer screens. I still enjoy a beer or glass of red at weekends though!
Well done Bob. Don't listen to detractors. Running is good! Anyway they're just jealous cos you're doing it and they're not!
Less beer and more tea (no sugar) I wouldn't recommend Coke to my worst enemy! LOL
Enjoy yourself and those runs will be over with before you know it, and a slimmer, healthier Bob will emerge at the end of the 9 weeks. I would urge you to listen to Laura's podcasts the whole way through! If you can put up with the music then you'll be a stronger person for it. Ha ha Listen out for Julie on Week 8.
Hi Bob - you do realise that running is the thin end of the wedge don't you? You can become seriously addicted, and, as a male, if you've always stuck to sombre colours for your clothing, you might suddenly start exploring your vibrant side, with yellows, oranges, pink and lime, and start smiling when you wear them (happened to my husband!). You might also start engaging with other sports too (I've recently started weight-training at 53), never did any sport before only when forced to at school. But it's all good - the benefit to mental health as well as physical health is immeasureable. Good luck!
That's great you have started and glad you are loving it. Just one word of warning you might become addicted to running. They won't have anything to say in nine weeks when your zooming off!
Ooh intriguing, I think its May Be Im Unfit But Not For Long ?
Welcome Bob, glad you can join our happy throng . Massive well done to you for taking those first steps from the couch . You wont regret it , I promise xxx
