And Week 4 is done....

Ran my 3rd run of week 4 today. Back outside again - the treadmill will be reserved for the really awful weather days now. I had been worried how my legs were going to cope today as my thighs were aching quite a bit yesterday. I was fine though - the aching had gone off a lot this morning so I was ready to go.

I used the Map My Run app today and for the duration of the podcast, I covered 3.76km or 2.3 miles. I think I have upped my pace a bit, because I think I only covered about 1.7 miles when I ran Run 1 on the treadmill. (listen to me map my run - who'd a thunk!).

Looking forward to my rest days and will be out on Monday for Week 5 - I am going to wait until Laura tells me on Monday to find out what delights are in store for me :0)

Well done Runningknitter. I finished week 4 today also. My calves hurt for the first time but I don't care, I'm really determined to complete the 5k. I am gonna start Week5 on Sunday. Just hope I can manage the 3 x 5mins!!! Good luck x

Arrrgh spoiler alert - really - 3 x 5mins - that doesn't sound too bad.

If you can do 2x 5 minutes then you can easily fit in 3 ha ha ;-) rest and smash it Monday ;-)

Well done! Week 5 brings you to the halfway point of the programme... just go slow, take it easy and listen to Laura... you'll be fine...

I like the idea of not looking ahead too far.. smart thinking! You'll be great... go for it... :)

On a completely unrelated topic, did you knit that hat in your pic? Looks awesome, I used to knit a lot before I injured my neck 2 years ago, it's now taken me 4 months to finish a baby jumper although it's getting better slowly I do miss my marathon knitting sessions and can only do a little at a time. More on topic I'm sure you'll do great at week 5 :)

Thank you, yes I did. My knitting output has been pretty scant the past year. My job was really interfering with my spare time! I am not working at the moment, but still not much knitting! I will get back into soon. (and yes lookout Week 5 :0))

Well done you ;-) my W4 R3 is later today at the 10k charity event. I wish I could just wait but I've analysed every flipping week over and over ha ha. I do it as I have to prepare myself sometimes a good thing and sometimes not, only time will tell. enjoy your weekend of rest ;-)
