Feeling proud because at running club tonight:

1. I braved it on my own again!

2. I kept up with a fellow runner who was tall and long legged and made me push myself more! Plus some of the reason i stuck close with him was because the route was complicated and even with the guide sheet i felt like i might get lost(and i think i would have with MY sense of direction !!) Hadn't met him before but we chatted all the way and the k's flew by!! (yes, i know some people say if you can chat you're not trying hard enough- but i was puffed out by the end!!!)

3. Managed 5.17k with the fastest k of 6.04 the last one!! :) and we were the first back in our group(though most were doing the longer run!- maybe next week??!! )

4. Ran up some steep steps(around 20ish) on the route round (told my companion that Miles_Yonder would be PROUD of me!!!!!! )

5. It actually felt a bit easier tonight!!!!!!!!!

6. Plus saw a lovely RAINBOW on the way home !!! just loving this cooler weather to run in!! pulled over to take a picture!

Happy running everyone :)

Well done Ali. That sounds a lovely run. Good to have a bit of a competitive element to your running isn't it.

I'm in my second race on Monday morning so I hope the competition can pull me round a bit faster than I'd normally do it. We'll see

Ali, it's a 5 k race. I believe with this one you get a medal at the end. Yay! A medal. Woohoo. That will be a first!

Oooh Bournemouth! I like it there. I didn't go last year, sob. Oh well maybe next year. I'd love to run on the seafront there. I think there was a run last time I was there come to think of it. From Bournemouth to Boscombe pier. Is that the one you're doing?
