If you are working hard, it never becomes easier but it means you are moving onwards and upwards! Keep going!

I think week six is hard as you go back to intervals for a bit. I found week seven onwards was actually easier and I much preferred the longer runs. In the end I dropped two runs from week 8 and went straight onto week nine as I was running 28 minutes and had an extra two minutes within me. I still find it tough though. I nearly gave up a couple of times at my first park run but I think running is such a mental battle and I managed to do it.

It is always tough on the programme because as you increase in ability you are being asked to do more. I used to ask " when will it get easier?" and in truth for me it was only as I consolidated after graduating. I used to think that I didn't really enjoy the actual running although I loved the sense of achievement - but I can honestly say I love the running now - its well worth sticking with it!

Cheers. Yes I agree the running is a slog but I must be bitten by the bug as I still keep getting out there. At 7am mostly. Never thought I would exercise that early lol! I definitely want to get to the end and then build on it. Swam 50 laps of the pool too so pooped!! On to week 7......

I found the entire programme very hard each week I would feel like I was going to die right there in the pavement either through not being able to breathe or my heart thumping in my chest or my legs like lead.......it was only after I graduated that it all came together....but I learnt that coz it's so hard in the programme that's the good thing that's where you make the gains that when you go out for your first run without the programme and your breezing along and that's when you realise all the hard work was worth it xxxx keep the faith It will get easier xxxx

Hope so. Going out later for week 7 run 3. Still keeping up but yes legs do feel like lead at the end!!! I hope it does all come together. But still determined and focused on the 9 week goal. X
