Excellent! Well done Aussie. I'm sure she will be very happy with having taken that all-important first step.

Excellent news!

Mrs MarkyD is on the cross-trainer again right now, so prospects are improving for her to undertake C25K.

Love it!

I know of one who has def begun this on my recommendation and a few who have shown interest, but sadly none of my nearest and dearest..

Brilliant! So many good runs to look forward to together. Wish my OH would join me. He's had the hard word from the doctor to do some walking so you never know - one day!

Happy running!

That's lovely, sounds like you've inspired her by example. :-)

Good luck that sounds really hopeful. I think I might have persuaded my other half to have a go tomorrow, he used to be a demon cross country runner and cyclist but has had two resurfaced hips. The doc was ok with him running and playing tennis (not sure why, he has never played tennis he can't see the ball, but that's what the surgeon said he could do) so he should be ok, and he can walk for miles so a bit of a jog should be a cinch. It is just about starting as we all know. We are hopefully going to a local reservoir and I am going to 'run' round it and he might go the other way round walking or hopefully doing the first podcast.
