how to run after injury

I have been suffering from a foot injury and haven't run for a month. Any tips on how to ease myself back into it? I have been running a 5k a week (36 mins average) and 3 x 3k a week. I still sometimes have to strap my foot. Thanks

Everyone is different but what I would say is you start off with a walk and see how the foot reacts. If its ok do a 5 minute run. Its just a case of easing yourself back into it and listening to your body. Might also be worthwhile icing your foot the night before your run.

Should it still pain you, you should seek medical advice I'm afraid

The forum members may have relevant advice from their own experience, but can not give you medical advice, even if they are qualified, on the strength of your enquiry. If the pain is still significant after a month, I would suggest that you seek professional medical advice from a GP or physio, to ascertain the cause and the necessary treatment for your injury.

Wishing you all the best of luck for a speedy recovery.
