Soaking wet and filthy after the Pretty Muddy Race for Life at Maidstone yesterday. It was great fun and after climbing over and under nine obstacles I was only one minute slower than my Race for Life in Hyde Park last year - a smidge under 41 minutes (at parkrun I'm down to just under 35 minutes.) I'm really pleased with that, especially as I was walking quite a bit to recover from each obstacle. My daughter is faster than I am but she ran with me which was lovely, helping her old mum a great deal of the time - especially when I had mud in my eyes and couldn't see where I was going!

Pretty Muddy Race for Life!
Fantastic. What a great photo. It sounds like a great run. I quite fancy doing some runs like this and the muddier the better. Can't beat a good roll in the mud ;),
Well done, love your photo....very inspirational.
Haha I've seen that dirty face before, well done to you both
Muddy hell! Brilliant time, great photo and a VERY well done as that is some feat you accomplished. WELL DONE!
Well done Gingernut ! What an inspiration you are to all of us. Looks like you had a great time too xxx
Hey well done Gingernut, that's sounds like hard work but great fun. Fab time too
Fantastic photo, Gingernut, and well done! The mud sounds like great fun, although not too good when it's in your eyes. How fabulous that you were able to share this experience with your daughter too.
Lovely stuff, Linda. Maybe that's the photo that should be on the poster? Maybe not, it might put some couchies off the whole idea.
keep running keep smiling.
Oooh that looks like fun.
Well done Ginge! That sounds like a right load of fun. Respect!!!!!
It is fun, even for an old lady. Such an experience - I'll be first to sign up for next year.
Sounds like a lot of fun Gingernut, well done! How lovely to have your daughter do it with you. And in a great time too. I did Maidstone Parkrun the other week when my local one was cancelled. Do you ever get there? x
No, I only do the Ashford one as it's only ten minutes' walk from my house to the start and I don't have a car.
