Tonight I ran for 20 minutes and I'm still grinning! Feels like the biggest achievement ever. I repeated wk5r2 twice because I was so daunted by the prospect of upping the time to 20 minutes and when I went out this evening, I thought I'd repeat it again just to be on the safe side. But at the last minute decided to face my demons and give it a go. It was amazing, I found a comfortable pace, enjoyed the sea views and just got on with it- even running an extra minute at the end. I'm so so happy, and for the first time believe I may one day make the 30 mins and eventually 5 km. Roll on week 6 (with caution of course).

Beautiful Dorset. Although that view is a mere half mile away I must confess I'm not up to running the hills - yet; although they are my ultimate aim. I run a much flatter route but still by the sea - but maybe one day......

Well done. A fantastic achievement. I was like that too over run 3 as it feels such a milestone and impossible to achieve, but you've done it. Now just to crack on with week 6.

Well done! I remember that milestone well so you've every right to be VERY proud!! It gets better... have fun!

Go easy on week 6 - those intervals are (for some reason) tricky little things... :)

That 20 minute run ! So daunting but DONE ! Keep going and best wishes.

Brilliant. If you can run for 20 minutes you can run for 30 minutes so you'll be there soon. It's a fab feeling, isn't it?

Good for you, I'm with you all the way. I couldn't believe I could run for 20 minutes either, but now I'm on Week 7 and can actually visualise running for 30 minutes. Amazing stuff this, isn't it?

Hi sewflakes- i'm all for repeating runs in an attempt to build up my stamina and I'm beginning to believe we will get there. Good luck with the 25 min run, you can do it and you will do it - let me know how you get on.

I have the same amazement about my own achievement. It sounds impossible but little by little we progress. Great feeling. Long may it last 👣👣
