(Wednesday) I return to my battle uniform for a new quest. When all is said and done I have been failed by Laura. Yes, I can run for thirty minutes and eat cake with my troops, but I am nowhere near covering 5km. I shall develop a new running programme. It will be called C23M and the initial run is today. Wish me luck!

I went out tonight and set my Runtracker app thingy for 5k. Well, I huffed, puffed, gasped, panted, hummed , sang, stumbled, yawned, burped, tr*mped, managed to say "hello " and give a cheery wave to a nice chap running towards me , and finally staggered home in 42mins 57 seconds. So, nowhere near 5k in 30 minutes, BUT barely less than 3 months ago , I struggled to run for 3 minutes.

Departure in around 45 minutes. Do not feel this is good idea. The Cultural Attaché MarkyD has complained about my uniform so I will have to change first.

Thank you. I think this is possibly going to show that my run is slower than my brisk walk, which will be truly disheartening. But it's all this foreign money - it means nothing until you take it to the bureau de change.

Dozzer, permission to speak sir? I'm sure that a great leader of your reputation knows, Sir, that the folk of the Riddermark, defended from King Eorl the Young (hence the people of Eorlingas) would have had green shields with a white horse and not the gold insignia above.

I wonder if you have deliberately changed the insignia to reflect the ring of jammy dodger in the centre, surrounded by the 8 flying 'V's for Vimto and 8 slices of TreeMouse's best coffee cake? In that case, you have given your army of cracked C25K troops an apt pattern.

Anyway I applaud your battle uniform and wish you success in the upcoming mortal combat. Victory shall be yours on Wednesday, albeit in a slightly reddened and damp fashion.

Am trying to come up with a suitably stirring tune on the bejewelled ocarina to mark your maiden skirmish in the c23m quest. Any Old Iron doesn't seem quite right but Chariots of Fire is sooooo last campaign, Daaaaaarling!! Suggestions on a postcard......

You will be able to achieve 3 miles, maybe see if you have a parkrun locally and have that as a goal in mind, you could even pop along while still training, you are allowed to walk sections of it and while you are there maybe you can round up some more troops!
