The old "war wound" is worse than initially thought, not been able to start week 2 yet, got to have an xray on right knee.
Better safe than sorry I suppose.

New runners get aches and pains at first. It's your body reeling against exertions it's not used to. Once you get into the habit of running every other day things settle down. As long as you take that rest day and do the warm-up and cool-downs, and a bit of stretching afterwards (stretches are all detailed on the info pages by Laura) then you should be fine to finish the programme
get some ice on it 3 times a day should help out check your running form and make sure your not slamming down on your heels i twisted my knee some years ago forgot all about it till id been running for 3 months try land on middle part of shoe this will take the shock from going to your knees helped me no end good luck hope xray comes back ok
