Like a lot of people here, I began running to get fitter. But what it's also done is to make me more aware of my body and what it can do. I've learned to eat more healthily and am doing other exercise as well as running, including weights! (Good for toning those pesky "labwings") or ladies bingo wings!
Anyway, we were getting some work done in the house and I was about to lift a pretty heavy bag and one of the workmen said " I'll lift that love. It's a bit heavy" to which I replied " thanks but I'll do it" and lifted it with one hand! He did look a bit gob smacked as there's not much to me but I am strong!
